I have often gone home and sobbed knowing what my mum went through and brushed off. Having nothing really but then leaving a shelter to find that little you had has been reduced to a pike of rubble is horrific. Or being at Thank you for being a friend the Golden Girls shirt school at playtime and being shot at by aircraft, dropping to the floor getting up when they have gone and being the only survivor at 5/6. No therapy, no time to grieve as the attacks continue just getting on with life. That’s what her generation and this ladies generation went through so yeah not having a holiday or being able to buy cake and biscuits they don’t worry.
