We all met for lunch, son aged twenty, daughter ten, myself and my husband. Precious times. I have worked through nearly all their growing up years, but compromised by being in the school they attended from when they like Grateful Dead friend of the Devil shirtuntil they went to College, and taking a full year out when we moved home. I have loved our holidays together. The hardest thing now is stepping back and letting them find their place in the world but I will be here for as long as my time allows.
