At least at my high school it was all about going to college and being super successful. There was no shop classes, they basically drilled it into A Fuze A Day Keeps The Hostage Away Funny Gaming T-shirt that if you didnt go college your a failure. It was never about whats best for the student. You dont need to go to college to be successful and success doesnt have to be measured by how large your paycheck is. It should be about what makes you happy.
