Only humans perceive a handicap,animals do not. I recently adopted a blind kitten. His eyes were removed from a severe eye infection when rescued. He is the Born To Be A Cat Mom Forced To Go To Work T-shirt. He has mentally mapped out my entire house. I have a tall cat tree and he commands the top perch. He does things and goes everywhere my sighted cats do or go. He even watches birds at my feeder with his ears. If a bird enters or exits to the left he is facing that direction.
